Honi Soit is truly ACE

ACE has won the elections to edit Honi Soit !

The call came in. Breaths were held. Fingers crossed. The worst was feared.

But, what kind of ending would that make?

In an unbelievable and electric night, the ACE team has been elected to edit your student newspaper.

We couldn’t be more proud, more grateful or more humbled.

We wish to collectively thank every single person who contributed to the campaign, supported us or voted.

There are however a few people in particular without whom none of this – any of this – would be possible:

• Tim Mooney is a force to be reckoned with and a true hero of a man. As our one and only campaign manager, he was the driving force, the beating heart, the extended metaphor of the entire campaign. We bow down to him.
• Larissa Rembisz is a tireless trooper who left us all in awe of her talent, determination and sheer bloody dedication. We are indebted to her.
• Courtney Tight and Pat Bateman supported our team and let us use their names for posters that may or may not have implied voters would be killed by Serena Williams should they fail to vote ACE. They are legends.

There are countless others; they know who they are, but rest assured that they will all be thanked in time.

We earnestly congratulate the other tickets in the race for a formidable and well-fought campaign.
